Dr. Steven Gundry is back on the show for a second visit for a more deep dive into how he transitioned from more traditional medicine into how to live a healthy lifestyle.

Dr. Gundry has worked in medicine for over 40 years. He’s probably best known for his work as a cardiothoracic surgeon and heart surgeon… but today his focus is on something very different:

Teaching people how to avoid surgery by using my unique vision of human nutrition.
His mission is to improve your health, happiness, and longevity by making simple changes to your diet.

As Dr. Gundry explains, feeling tired, moody, and zapped of energy is not normal, no matter your workload or age. Fatigue is an SOS flare from the body, one that is intended to alert us that something is wrong. In his clinical work, Dr. Gundry has found that his patients who complain of feeling sick and tired all the time almost always have something in common: the inflammation markers of a leaky gut.

Episode Summary: This is Dr. Gundry's second visit to the show. In this episode Matt explores with Dr. Gundry how he shifted away from being a traditional heart surgeon and began finding solutions to reversing disease through nutrition.
